JESUS OUR TRUE WORSHIP LEADER

Image
THE MYSTERY OF SOUND (TMS) JESUS OUR TRUE WORSHIP LEADER BY: ELMOND ISAIAH It is truly interesting to understand that in a real sense it is not the band or the worship leader who draws men into the presence of God but Jesus who is our true worship leader. Jesus said in John 12: 32 that when He is lifted up from the earth He will draw everyone to Himself; to Himself because He is God all by Himself (John 1:1). However, I want you to see it this way, no matter your abilities, skills and deep understanding of music, it is utterly useless if it is not centred on Jesus (Hebrew 12:2) Let us examine Hebrew 2:11-13 So now Jesus and the ones He makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters. For He said to God, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters; I will praise you among your assembled people.” He also said, "I will put my trust in him," that is, "I and the children God (Theos) has given me....

SEVEN HEBREW WORDS FOR WORSHIP

Image
THE MYSTERY OF SOUND (TMS) Topic: Seven Hebrew Words for "Praise and Worship." Instructor: Pastor Gilbert Edoreh INTRODUCTION The Hebrew language is quite an interesting one. Not just interesting, but deep. Having a little insight into such words (seven Hebrew words for Praise and Worship), convey a deeper essence of the things we have been seeing in the Bible. We trust God for deep insight as we examine them. Amen. SEVEN HEBREW WORDS FOR WORSHIP BARAK The first word we'll be considering is the Hebrew word - Barak. Barak (baw-rak') Some people spell it as Barauch. The word "Barak" means to bless God (as an act of adoration). It means to kneel before God our maker in worship. We can check these scriptures: Psalm 95:6 and 2Chronicles 6:13. Psalm 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down let us kneel before' the LORD our Maker. 2 Chronicles 6:13 For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits...

WORSHIP BASICS

Image
THE MYSTERY OF SOUND (TMS) Topic: WORSHIP BASICS Instructor: Jesse Akpomera. Our topic today is *WORSHIP BASICS* Firstly, I'll like to say that all we learn and teach as doctrine must be from proper bible study. Our words must show a diligence to rightly divide God's word. 2 Timothy 2:15(KJV) 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. This therefore means what we teach believers here must mirror who we are and where we now stand in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17(KJV) 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he  is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. So it'll be safe to call this teaching *WORSHIP BASICS: For New Creatures in Christ.* It is necessary we emphasize this because it'll be difficult to produce believers who are sound in doctrine and can teach on worship from the scriptures, if our minds are not fixed on what we have become in Ch...
