*INTRODUCTION.*

I'd like to appreciate Sir Elmond Isaiah for this rare privilege given to a learner like me to share God's word. I love you Sir and pray you grow from grace to grace. God bless you Sir. Amen.

We will be defining the term TRUE and WORSHIP before linking it together to get a definition with the scriptural reference for the day which is Genesis 22.

"True is something genuine, something pure, something real, something undiluted, raw and potent."

"Worship on the other hand is words of praise, love and honour rendered to a deity."

Putting this together in my definition as a believer, "True worship is rendering a genuine, real and potent worthy words of praise to one who is supernatural, in other words a deity."

We can say true worship is a selfless way of rendering our entirety into esteeming high the values and Worth of a deity.
In other words neglecting our looks or appearances, forgetting ourselves and most times giving freedom to genuine tears flooding our eyes.
True worship is a strong feeling which can't be expressed with mere words
It is a passion burning within which goes way beyond being present in church or lifting up of hands and screaming at the top of our voices to God in public. True worship is one birthed in the Spirit by revelation of whom we worship as shown us in John 4v21-24

NIV
Jesus replied, “The time is coming, ma’am, when we will no longer be concerned about whether to worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. For it’s not where we worship that counts, but how we worship—is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit’s help? For God is Spirit, and we must have his help to worship as we should. The Father wants this kind of worship from us. But you Samaritans know so little about him, worshiping blindly, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes to the world through the Jews

MSG translation says in John 4v21-24
"Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem. You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God's way of salvation is made available through the Jews. But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you're called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. "It's who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That's the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration."

*TRUE WORSHIP*

You see, as Jesus says in John 4, true worship is only done in Spirit and in Truth. It is based on God’s revelation of Himself; it is a response to God making Himself known to us in His Word and in our personal experiences.
Let's take a look at the very first time we find the word “worship” in the Scriptures.

Genesis 22 Vs. 1-5
1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3. So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.
4.Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off.
5.And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad [lit. – young man] and I will go yonder and worship , and we will come back to you.”

MSG
1After all this, God tested Abraham. God said, "Abraham!"

"Yes?" answered Abraham. "I'm listening."

2He said, "Take your dear son Isaac whom you love and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I'll point out to you." 3-5Abraham got up early in the morning and saddled his donkey. He took two of his young servants and his son Isaac. He had split wood for the burnt offering. He set out for the place God had directed him. On the third day he looked up and saw the place in the distance. Abraham told his two young servants, "Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I are going over there to worship; then we'll come back to you."

This is the first time the word “worship” is used in the Bible and I believe we all know what it means when a word is made mention for the first time in the bible.
That word automatically determines it meaning throughout scripture.
Here we will understand the genesis of word 'worship' and what worship truly entails.

From the scripture above (Genesis 22) we will find the key elements of true worship which Father Abraham observed which includes: "Revelation Obedience Preparation, Separation, Dedication and Proclamation".

These things were what God saw and was pleased with his sacrifices despite how difficult the task before was
Abraham's form of worship was based on the ultimate which was the revelation of the God he served; it wasn't just about hearing about God that qualifies your knowing Him. You have to be drunk in His word and filled with His Spirit to claim to know Him. "You can only know God by His Spirit".
Secondly his act of worship was done in complete obedience to an instruction no questions asked which brings us back to the place of prayer and study, the more time you spend praying and studying before God opens up dimensions of His person to you.
Thirdly he prepared for the journey ahead without delay, oh! your preparation before worship tells how much God means to you.
God meant the world to Abraham it didn't take him too much time to think on the instructions given rather He prepared for the task
He prepared himself for service (worship is an act of service).
Fourthly, he made such to avoid distractions by separating himself from his servants.
worship is you and God alone and nobody else.
worship need not be done in an hypocritical or eye service matter.
God knows a busy body when He sees one.
Abraham separated himself from his family and servants
Not minding what the world would say, not thinking of how his wife would feel
Oh that is genuine love in display. He willingly dedicated the one thing he loved choosing to trust God through it all.
Worship if it is truly genuine would cost you
Cos true worship is all about you giving and giving without expecting anything in return

Lastly, he proclaim God as Jehovah Jireh. God at that moment was his provider. The God who saved him from a tough situation by making provision at the nick of time
As a worshipper who is God to you?
Do you know Him as He is to you or as others call Him to be?
Abraham was no singer mind you but the Bible recorded in v5 that his going to sacrifice his son was a form of worship
like I would always say worship goes beyond the physical activities of man
worship is spiritual
They that worship must worship in Spirit and in truth. It takes a spiritually conscious man to truly worship you see
Ask yourself this one question today
Is my worship genuine as a worshipper?
How well do I know and trust God to truly worship Him?
Do I know my responsibilities enough as a worshipper at all?
A worshipper is that person who worships by revelation
Revelation of a God he trust and believes in
he is that person who follows blindly every word the bible proclaims God to be
he is that person who gives in an extra to service before God
And above all he is that person who appeals God the most in the place of worship.
Remember what John 12:32 says the only way we draw men to him is via our worship. And a worship impure is termed as strange fire before God, and believe me you God detest such

Ask yourself again this question.
What have i been offering unto God, genuine worship or strange fire?
Not everyone can offer genuine worship to God
Pls forgive me network here is really bad
God seeks true worshippers which brings me back to Genesis where the responsibilities of worshippers was made mention
1. Know God for yourself as a worshipper, you can't give what you do not have neither can you truly worship who you know not John4v22 KJV your worship should be based on the knowledge of the God you have Eph 1:17-18
2. Preparation is key for every worshipper like I wrote earlier you can never and I repeat again you can never give what you do not have. Abraham wanted to give his son as a sacrifice unto God something so difficult that we all know would cost him yet he prepared himself to finish the task set before him. Your worship should never be done casually without proper preparation;
God is a Spirit that should be approached as one
what do I mean? you don't use natural things to address Spiritual matter.
Never come before God without preparing in the place of prayer and study of His word there you find strength to truly worship.
3. As a worshipper your devotion should be genuine and not one of wanting to please people. Isaiah 29:13
Let God be your only audience
Live a separated live; don't act or think like the world does cos you've be called out of darkness into God's marvellous light 1peter 2:9
4. Worship should be done in obedience to Christ
Despite Abraham been totally shattered knowing his only hope; his son was going to die. In the midst of these feelings he chose to obey.
As worshippers we hear God not to neglect His voice but to adhere to all He instructs.
Learn to make God's choice your choice, His Will your will and His paths your ways
5 Dedicate yourself to God as worship itself that's the highest price you can give (Romans 12:1)
cos if you can give yourself to serving God, releasing all you call dear would be nothing to you
6 Make proclamation always as a worshipper.
Abraham was proclaiming who God was to him even in the midst of difficult.
He is saying God will provide. He is proclaiming victory over his circumstances even before he could worship or carry out his sacrifice.
As worshippers we ought always to look beyond our worries and worship as though it were our last.
Give every moment spent with and before God all you've got
I am so sorry for the bad network connection
Thank you Sir Isaiah for this opportunity
Thank you Sis Chika for the wonderful summary and thank you all for being so patient with me, zamfara network can be demanding sometimes
God bless you Sir/Ma
Amen to all your prayers
God be praised forever
Never forget worship is spiritual
Your heart qualifies you to genuinely worship; get rid of the rubbish and follow God blindly without questions
Enjoy God to the fullest in today's service

Summary By Precious Chika Emmanuel

Miss Ayomide Wellington has done well to teach us.
God bless you Ma.
House can we say a prayer for her.
She has taught a lot about True worship.

I pray we become True worshippers.
So I'm supposed to give a summary of her teaching. I had to study for it too and I'm so excited that God confirmed this teaching.

Before we take the closing prayer by 9:30, I'll give a summary of this teaching On True worship.
Worship just like what Ayomide said is not the slow song that the choir sings. Worship is not the amount you place in the offering basket. Worship is not lying down or crying. Yes, these
Maybe acts or expressions of worship, but they do not define what true worship really is.
worship is a spiritual discipline: Worship is to honor with extravagant love and extreme submission. We saw this with Abraham. He loved God with his heart and so obedience and submission to God's will even though appearing very difficult to do was done by him.

Love prompts you to trust wholly. To submit wholly and o obey promptly.
True worship, in other words, is defined by the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our list of priorities.
Abraham prioritized God before wife or family in general, before what people would say and all. He obeyed first. That's worship.

True worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle. So if your lifestyle does not express the genuine love and whole submission then it's not worship.
Something that's your lifestyle flows from you..
We see that it was recorded that Abraham arose early in the morning without thinking twice.... His lifestyle was that of worship.
Abraham had been blessed by God. We know he had a good and comfortable life and was finally blessed with a child. That's was so much but we should understand this.... Abraham understood that we worship God because of his worthiness and not because of what he is able to do for us.
If the later was the case, he'd have gone against God and protect his child and probably go to church the next day and lie on the floor crying and singing. But that's not true worship.
There's so much to learn from Abraham on worship.
It is highly appropriate to thank God for all the things he has done for us. However, true worship is shallow if it is solely an acknowledgement of what God does for us.
Psalm 96:5-6 says, "For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary." In other words, our worship must be toward the one who is worthy simply because of his identity as the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent One, and not just because God is wealthy and able to meet our needs and answer our prayers.
Lastly, in Verse 5; He said to his young men, abide here with the Ass and I and the land will go and worship.
Note that this proves that worship is not just what we do. As Ayomide said, we never learnt that Abraham was a singer..... So he wasn't going to sing. It's part of us, who we are and should be in our every lifestyle.
All worship is not praise but all praise is worship.

CLOSING PRAYER.

We thank God for a successful exposition on the topic True worship.

We bless him for Miss Ayomide Wellington whom he used today. We pray Father, that you increase her.

Thank you for every member of this group God.
As we read through, we will become true worshippers in Jesus name.

Thank you for Sir Elmond Isaiah. Bless and cause his vision for The group to come to manifestation in Jesus name we've prayed. Amen
